I LOVED this game.

I played this game multiple times and I'm still not bored of it yet, not one bit. This game is a bundle of fun and madness.

First of all I was amazed of the level of detail put into this game, always been a fan of MindChamber's artwork. I'm used to seeing bland white and black graphics in madness movies and games(except for blood). Which is why I am amazed by the detail put into this game. The clown looked brilliant, characters well animated, environments were outstandingly well done and I was surprised to find out that this game has actually lighting effects. Which of course were brilliant. Overall, I was simply loved the visuals, no complaints whatsoever, not even if I try to nitpick. Perfect.
Graphics 10/10 (deserves a 20/10)

The game itself is very addicting, as I said before I'm glad I reviewed this game after the update. The reason being is my main problem of the game was the controls. It was hard to aim and the weapon switching really got on my nerves. When that was fixed, it left me with nothing to complain about. If I were to nitpick about the gameplay, I could say that the weapons in this game are a bit unbalanced. Some were just plain weak (flamethrower, P-90) and some I found over powered such as the grenade launcher and the shotgun. I found the shotgun was most effective as it was very powerful and not too hard to obtain additional shells. The gun system could use a little balance if you are seeking perfection but I thought it was alright. Again I am glad I reviewed this after the update because one of my other major complaints (now fixed) was the henchmen. They were dumb, very disposable and useless. They don't shoot when you are close by and they don't even pick up their weapon when they drop it. With madness mode, that it no longer a problem.
Gameplay: 9/10

Audio. Ehh I'm not going to lie but I found the audio to be a bit standard. But it did have parts when it really stood out. The clown sound effects were great, weapons were just good, and the rest of the sound effects were ok. It was obvious that some of the sounds were recycled (ex: punching, when the clown barfed fireballs, ect) but overall I liked the sound. Seeing as you but this game together in ONLY A MONTH, It's excusable.
Sound:7/10

I'd give a 9/10, but because of the fact that this game was put together in a very short period of time and because It keeps me coming back because of it's fun factor I just feel bad giving it a 9/10. This without a doubt deserves a 10/10 hands down.
Congratulations Tom Fulp, MindeChamber and Krinkels on making the best Madness game of all time.

Great tutorial

Simplistic , fun and very helpful. I great addition to the portal. Deserves a 9 for the adding THE KING into it. Great job.

Mariofan9 responds:

Ah, thank you.

Best "Find the differences" game I've ever played.

Every image is very stylish and very detailed,
Perfect for a game like this.
I liked how you mirrored the mouse onto the other side of the image, it was very Cleaver and very helpful, I don't think I've seen that done before.

Loved the music and audio, adds to the atmosphere of the game. Never gets redundant due to the diversity in each image. I loved this game, well done.

Great

Great song, but I must say it does sound alot like The Duke Nukem theme.

Maltloaf responds:

It probably would do - Dn3D used midi as well, so the guitar samples will 'natch be the same. The chords aren't atypical for metal/industrial either. Interestingly, I got told by someone else it sounded like Chrono Trigger, so I guess that means I'm being too generic. :(

Ah well, thanks for stopping by. :)

Approved

Great remmmix,
Possibly THE most original and apic Morshu song ever made.
Very well done.

Awesome

Awesome take on gourmet race.

Drawn with a mouse?

Well you've certainly earned yourself a 9/10. But is it just me or his right arm seems a bit off? The neck seems a tad too big or it might be the helmet that is a tad too small. Other than that, Excellent work.
Just out of curiosity, which version of photoshop did you use?

Tommy-Gun responds:

I believe the version I've used it CS2.

Thanks for the review.

Great Weapon

Very nice concept, but I do have a few questions.
Wouldn't having heavy studs on a clip (looks more like a magazine) be a bit cumbersome? I say if there were to be a melee weapon on this gun, then it should be on the gun itself. Hitting someone with a clip doesn't seem to practical and since its a bit far back on the gun the barrel could get in the way.
Also 2 questions on the reloading mechanism. As you may or may not know the force from the bullet being shot kicks out the bullet casing and reloads another one into the chamber. I see no such mechanism present. I just seem to see a big clunky piece of metal there that seems to be firmly in place. Which brings me to looking down the iron sights. The big piece of metal on the back, wouldn't it get in the way while looking down the sights? I know its a close range weapon but even so, most close range weapons have irons sights themselves.
One more thing to add, usually when I see those magazines (or clip) they are usually facing the other way. But for the reason of putting the studs there it's justified but just in case you needed to know.
I know this is fantasy type gun but drawing fantasy guns require a certain amount of knowledge about guns themselves. By looking at this, I can see you sure do know alot but Just pointing out some of the flaws.(i may be right i may be wrong, who knows?) Despite what I mentioned before, this gun is actually very creative and alot of thought has been put into it. Overlooking the flaws I really like this artwork. Well done.

Tommy-Gun responds:

I'll try to answer as many of these as I can.

The Studs wouldn't be cumbersome, but as for your second question, yes they can be a hard and impractical to use if the barrel got in the way.

The reloading mechanism is inside the gun itself, as to keep the sights in place even when the gun is being fired.

The big piece at the back is more of an Eotech style sights (kind of like a red dot sight from CoD4). The way it works: A laser invisible to the human eye is sent forward by the device underneath the barrel, and the Eotech sights have a special type of glass that can make it visible when looked through. This way, even if the sights are too far up, when you look through the display glass, you should be able to see the exact location of your target.

Thanks for the thorough review. This gun may look like it has many flaws, but it's basically because I didn't take the time to explain it well on this site (I drew this for something else). However, you are absolutely right when you say that the studs may be hard to use if the barrel got in the way. Other than that, I don't see why any part of this weapon shouldn't work.

Of course, it would not be practical in the real world. But I didn't want to make the weapon as realistic as possible. I just wanted something that looked bad-ass and started drawing.

Hopefully, that answered most of your questions.

SnooPING AS usual I see

10/10
no questions asked, this is just epic.
